Our story

Offices first, then homes

In 2014, Vanecroft was two refrigeration engineers cooling server cupboards and offices around Stockport. Homes followed, as summers got warmer and more people worked from a spare bedroom.

One or two installs a day is our limit. That leaves time to find a neat pipe route, set the controls with you and explain the filters before we go.

Our base in Heaton Mersey, Stockport is not a showroom. Every survey, install, service and repair happens at your home or premises.

Why Vanecroft

Careful installs, clear handovers

  • 01

    Matched to the room

Floor area, ceiling height and glazing decide the unit. Too big and it cycles on and off; too small and it runs flat out without catching up.

  • 02

    Every unit on file

The model, the pipe route and each service reading are kept on record, so a later visit starts from what is already known.

  • 03

    Pipework you will not notice

Pipes go straight through the wall behind the unit where they can, or in slim white trunking agreed at the survey.

  • 04

    Paperwork handed over

The commissioning sheet, the electrical certificate and the warranty details, all left with you on the day.

How we work

From first message to a cooler room

  1. Start with the room

Which room, roughly how big, and your postcode: enough for a first reply and to plan the survey.

  2. A free survey and a fixed price

We visit for about 45 minutes, check the wall, the pipe route and the power, then send one written price no later than two working days after the survey.

  3. Installed and commissioned

A single-room install is normally finished the day it starts. The unit is run in every mode with you there, and the remote and the filter clean are shown before we pack up.

Sample reviewOffice service

Five stars.

Our office units had not been cleaned for three years. They did all four, cured a drain that dripped on a desk and left a typed record for the landlord.

Five stars.

The bedroom unit started blinking and blowing warm air. By lunchtime they had found a loose sensor plug, not the new compressor I was dreading.

Five stars.

We only wanted the loft bedroom sorted. The surveyor found a way to run the pipes through the eaves, so nothing shows on the front of the house.
