In practice
When you need it
Most homes need one a year. Booked for April or May, the unit is clean before the heat arrives. Busy offices, salons and kitchens can need a second visit in the autumn.
What you get
- Filters washed and the indoor coil cleaned
- Condensate drain and any pump checked
- Leaves and grime brushed out of the outdoor fins
- Refrigerant pressures and pipe joints checked for leaks
- Remote, timers and every mode tested
- A written service record for your files
From £95, first unit.

Choose a week
Pick a week that works. We offer a morning or an afternoon slot in it, and nothing goes in the diary until you accept it.
Clean and check
Both units cleaned, every mode run, and the pipe joints leak tested by an F-gas certified engineer.
One page for your files
The readings taken and the work done, plus a note of any part starting to wear.
Service plans
Or book it every year
With a plan the date goes in the diary each year, so the service never slips. The Heating and cooling plan adds an October visit to check the unit before it starts warming the house. Every visit covers the checks in a single service, for less than booking them one at a time.

- Service sheet for your files
Two or more units

Questions
About servicing and maintenance
Is a yearly service a legal requirement?
For larger systems, regular leak checks are. Under the F-gas rules in Great Britain, equipment holding F gas equal to 5 tonnes of carbon dioxide or more must be leak checked at least every 12 months, or every 24 months where an automatic leak detection system is fitted. Most single-room home units hold less than that, so for them a yearly service is good care rather than a legal duty.
Will you look after a unit another firm fitted?
Yes. Wall, ceiling and ducted units from other installers are serviced the same way as our own. The first visit runs a little longer while we record the model and the pipe route.
Can several units be serviced on one visit?
Yes. Allow 60 to 90 minutes for one indoor unit and its outdoor unit, and about 30 minutes for each extra indoor unit.
